Today’s Point of Balance: check out Allison’s giveaway over at Green Dog Wine – I think if I had some of the EO hand cream in the chocolate & mint scent, I would eat my arm off!
PRESENTING MY RESOLUTIONS FOR 2010:
Over at Healthy Tipping Point, Caitlin suggests not starting your resolutions on January 1, but instead waiting a bit so that you are more realistic to start and keep with your goals. Therefore, posting mine on January 4th!
Become a runner. Starting with completing the Cool Running’s Couch to 5K Program or the Active.com 5K Training Plan. Since I started on December 30th, I’ve accidently already stumbled into Week 3 of the Active.com program, so I’ll probably stick with that plan. I am registering for The 2010 St. Malachi Run in March – plenty of time to prepare. I hope to then register for at least one 5K every month until these Cleveland winters force me back indoors!
More yoga. Less kickboxing and elliptical. This is going to be the hardest for me, as I love that damn crossramp and could take a kickboxing class twice a day if offered. However, I’ve found a great yoga studio close to home that I plan to buy a pass to so I can take at least one class weekly. I’m also looking into online programs and podcasts to help balance my new running plan. Although I’ve already realized my goal to turn my office into a hot yoga room isn’t going to be as successful as hoped. Or I need two more space heaters to make it happen.
Find happiness. 2009 was pretty rough on me, and unfortunately, I lost sight of what makes me happy in life. 2010 is committed to finding happiness in the every day routine. I have so much to be thankful for already this year and I plan to celebrate those things regularly.
Make my house a home. We’ve been in our home since 2006. I’ve taken my good ol’ time redecorating and such. I’m excited to redo our kitchen, family room, bathrooms and guest room this winter and spring! Thank GOODNESS for my parents who are super handy when it comes to room renovations!
Drink more water. Which should be easy to this awesome new water bottle from lululemon. Considering I really only drink coffee, tea and water, I like to focus on upping the pure H2O consumption as much as possible. I’m thinking all water after 12PM Noon every day, with the occasional bedtime Sleepytime tea.
Keep blogging. I realized in my blog hiatus that I missed sharing my thoughts with the world – even if it’s just my mom and aunts enjoying them! I plan to make this blog fit with my life. Remember – a healthy balance in all things is the key to life!
With this list, I’m so excited for 2010!
