Welcome to Day Two of the blog – trying my best to remember to document the food consumption!
Today, I started my day anticipating ending it with a kickboxing class, so I had bulked up my breakfast a bit: 2 eggs over easy, 2 pieces of low fat cheddar, and 2 pieces of whole grain toast:
Followed by the usual cup of coffee with multivitamin on the way to work (pic taken in park, I promise!):
In my office, the lunch crew usually gets moving around 12:45PM, so to help hold me over, I have a large cup of tea (still trying to remember to take pics!) usually some time around 11:30AM. However, if I’m STARVING, I’ll snack it up. But my smart combo of protein, fats and carbs this AM kept me good til lunch:
Today’s lunch wrap was lots of hummus and lots of veggies (spinach, plum tomato, cucumbers, green pepper). Paired with Trader Joe’s roasted red pepper low sodium soup. After lunch, instead of giving into my sweet tooth by raiding that horrible box of chocolates that arrived yesterday, I had a few red grapes that I had left over from yesterday.
I was under a tight deadline to get some acknowledgement letters out this afternoon. The mental drain made me exhausted, and by the time 5:30PM rolled around, I had talked myself out of kickboxing class. Moving the class from 6:00PM to 6:30PM is killing me!!
I decided to head home to meet my hubby. Somewhere around East 18th and Prospect Avenue, I snacked on a few carrot and celery sticks to hold me over until I got home. Text messaging while driving is illegal in Cleveland, so I figured picture taking of my pre-dinner snack was probably not a good idea!
My husband is taking a very important exam tomorrow morning and had taken today off to study. I wanted for him to relax and not worry about dinner, so we decided to grab a quick dinner out. We normally don’t go out to eat this much! Since I wanted him to be happy, I let him choose. After much debate, much driving around Parma and a lot of stomach rumbling, we ended up at Chipotle:
My burrito bowl consisted of black beans, fajita veggies, carnitas, tomato salsa, green tomatillo salsa, a very tiny amount of cheese and a ridiculous amount of romaine lettuce. While most Chipotle creations are calorie bombs, I’m estimating mine to come in around 515! I feel much less guilty about skipping kickboxing class!
I was frustrated by the customer service however: I was super rushed to give my order – I realized later I ordered the carnitas instead of the barbacoa. I was getting super sass by the first two Chipotle representatives because I was being particular about my order. Yet another reason to support local business – they try so much harder to please!
We made a quick stop into Marc’s for some groceries, which included this important item:
To make up for the lack of working out this evening, I’m going to enjoy a yoga class tomorrow morning during my comp day off. Now the decision: go to the hip yoga studio by my house for a solid 90 minute power yoga class, or hit up the 45 minute yoga class at Bally and follow it up with some elliptical time? It might be decided by what time I wake up tomorrow! Enjoy your Friday!
