According to Wikipedia, my hometown of Parma name’s “was taken from Parma, New York, where it was probably derived from the early-19th century fascination with classical Italy.”
I’m poised. I’m classic. And I’m Italian. Or at least I pretend to be. So what does this have to do with this blog??
After reaching a huge milestone marker of losing a total of 120 pounds, I realized I lost all balance in my life. This blog is going to be about finding that balance.
There will be food posts:: what I eat, what I’ve cooked/baked, where I’ve gone to eat in my hometown. I’m a foodie at heart, so you’ll enjoy my struggle of enjoying local indulgences while making healthy choices.
There will be posts about Cleveland:: Travel + Leisure magazine just ranked Cleveland in its America’s Favorite Cities survey and we did pretty well – ranked #1 affordable getaway spot, #2 for classical music, #4 for farmers markets and #6 in theatre in the nation. I’m here to share all the hot spots (and the not so hot spots) with all of you who wonder “who still lives in Cleveland… and why?!”
Most importantly, there will be posts about finding balance: as this is my main goal of this blog, I’ll share the “golden nuggets” of wisdom that I come across along the way in hopes that they might help you too.
And a lot of posts about this guy:
Tomorrow, I’ll share my weight loss story – the good and the bad – and how I got to this point of figuring out the balance of a healthy lifestyle. So bare with me faithful readers (which right now, totals one – my mom) while I figure this blog out.
Until then – onward and upward.
